Giamanos Ristorante prides itself on helping out and being a part of their local community. As a family run business, the Manno family transcends simply being an Italian restaurant. Owner and head chef, Steffan Manno, is a father of five, which inspires him to constantly reach out to local children in need and spread joy to their lives. As the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bradley Beach, Steffan also works closely with the town to ensure bradley beach continues to grow economically & helps/ lead all types of businesses in the town thrive/succeed.
Giamanos’ community outreach extends far beyond their doors. Their philanthropic projects include:
*Community Dinners/Celebrations: Giamanos shares their holiday experiences closely with their local community. For the past ten years, Giamanos has hosted a dinner on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day at the Salvation Army in Asbury Park. The holiday dinners feed those who are in a less fortunate position and need their assistance. At the onset of the event, Giamanos’ family and friends were the backbone of it all, hosting it for four to five years on their own. As the project became more recognized by their community and their loyal customers, the event began to expand and began to reach the parts of the community that need it the most. Currently, Giamanos feeds roughly 500 people on Thanksgiving and 800 on Christmas Day. All of the food is directly donated from and prepared by the Manno family. These evenings are much more than just a dinner. They are a celebration of the community that includes music, photography, portraits, drum sessions, and even a doctor on premise. It is the most well received event in the community and continues to grow and inspire the Manno family to do what they do.
*Locals Feeding Locals: For the third year in a row, Giamanos has hosted a fundraiser for the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean counties. The donation price of $50.00 includes a four-course menu comprised of special chef selections, a complimentary glass of wine and live music. A gift auction and 50/50 are also offered, as well as a collection of non-perishable food and new/gently used clothing. Giamanos donates 100% of the proceeds they earn to the FoodBank.
*Lunch Break: Lunch Break is an organization in Red Bank that provides daily lunches to people in need. Giamanos’ position is to provide food at special events or as needed.
